Photographer’s Note
Another wonderful sandstone relic of past prosperity on the wheat plains north of Adelaide. I find an irony here between the abandoned homestead of a family who obviously fell on hard times here and the lush fresh prosperous new crop of wheat bursting to life all around.

Hello you two ... this is a lovely house, standing there a little lost on the hill. I like the lonely feeling that goes with the whole photo. This is so much Australia I find ... well seen and brought over.
All the best for the New Year, Barbara.

Hi Steve and Ioana,
Lovely composition! The old ruin and gum tree in the background is nicely balanced with the tank and weather-vane in the foreground. This is amazingly green for this time of the year, would have thought it would be really brown. Must have had a bit of rain up there. Anyway, lovely photo! Happy New Year to you both for 2007! Cheers Tina :-)

I think you overdid the saturation a bit here, the green looks more like that of a snooker table than any kind of a crop that I've seen before.
Apart from the disturbing colour, you've done well here.
The composition is excellent, I especially like how the line of the track draws leads the eye towards the farm building in the distance. The placement of the other elements, windmill and trees, is also very good.
Impressive work, but I wish that you had toned down the saturation a bit.
Cheers,
Ben

Hello Steve and Iona
Very good perspective of the path wich lead our eyes to the house, I like the curve of the hill in the middle, a simple landscape but so beautiful!

Wow, this vibrant greenery isn't what I'd expect in pictures of Australia (I think dry outback). I like the green against the red/orange of the solitary house.
