Photographer’s Note
The road in to Warrumbungles. It's a winding road and not suited for reckless drivers in low cars. The scenery is stunning and I really liked the clouds rolling in over us as we were driving in.
The PP in this shot includes some dodge and burn work on a soft light layer to increase contrast and add balance to the sky. General work on the sky and ground was done separately using layer masks. I made a vignette to lead the viewer into the shot via the road and to keep them from floating up through the shot up the top:)

Hi Cato, did I not get the email? 3 shots all within half an hour today showing a road? Anyway I like your shot though I don't see the wind in it that you talk about in your notes. I think the composition is good and the colour is good but I find the corners a little dark, it almost looks like filter vignetting as opposed to PP work.

I've seen a number of images composed exactly like this one, but what makes this in particular stand out is your subtle and excellent post-processing. I've very grateful for your detailed explanation of how you achieved the beautiful effect. Thanks for sharing this one!
