Hey Brendan,

surorised to see little reaction here because its quite a funny shot. The strange woman is SO out of place here, and her presence is doubled by the man who is totally oblivious to this alien behind him, and is instead totally into his newspaper.

Hello Brendan. A beautiful and picture worth seeing of full contrasts and a good title. The contrasts constitute the attraction of each event. As the world would be boring, if all would look similar. But it is correctly observed: each of the two is occupied with itself. Perhaps the woman waits for an attractive man or for her girlfriend: -)) The picture pleases me very well. Greeting, Wolfgang.

wow...great shot here
Hy Brendan...Did they know eachother?...she seems surprised:)...
this image is telling so much that this small space is not enough to explane...what i'm screeming out to everybody all this years..., in one phrase...
This is ME!...:)
regards...M.

Hi Brendan, Not the most everyday person you will come across but the contrast between the two people is outstanding, I love her colourful outfit & the way the man is just reading his paper, however why should he look round we are all different & thats what makes this world so good, nice expressions on both their faces & a great capture, kind regards Wilson.

she does not even look like she in real in this picture. Partly because she is a bit softer than he is, and obviously because of her outfit. It is as if she is a figment of his imagination that he is trying to ignore.

well done

More than a touch of Martin Parr in this excellently timed shot, Brendan. Glad to see you firing from all cylinders my Aussie brother... The girl is staring right at you with those owlish fun glasses. Older fella couldn't care less. Sweet, funky. Good one!
One question (a recent preoccupation of mine): color absolutely essential here?
Best,
Francis

Hi Brendan
A composition in contrast
You were at the right place at the right time and your eyes were open.
I do not like the WS done by Francis as it kills the interest of the very colored girl VS the straight man.Their attitudes are also different and to the antipodes.
So many angles to look at your shot.
Original.
Have a god day
Charles
