This delightful circle was taken at Lamington national park, west of the Gold Coast. These are native Australian mountain parots, the red and blue kind are crimson rosellas and the red and green are King Parots. They are feasting on sunflower seed which I had left for them, but I did not expect them to form such a perfect ring. This guy on the bottom is about to jump into the centre, to the discontent of the other birds.

Preciosa foto. Felicidades. Me recuerda un periquito que tuve, era de color amarillo. :)

What a decisive moment with all these parakeets in circle. A very coloured image which surprises at a quick survey.
Have a good week-end.

Hi Matt. Excellent to see this composition. It is a classic. No room for more relatives at this meal. It is interesting to see the green-feathered ones are together at the table! Good colours and fun to see. Murray.

Hi Matt, just found this while wandering around the site. Great Christmas wreath. My son is nuts about parrots. I'm sending this link on to him.

Haha , very cute, I almost didn't open the thumbnail, I thouggt it was going to be a photo of an actual wreath, I'm glad I gave it a chance, great timing.

What a colourful "Christmas wreath" ! I didn't quite guess what it was seeing the thumbnail, and had a really pleasant surprise when I opened it ! Funny how they formed a perfect, disciplined circle, except there wasn't enough room for everyone. Funny too how the King parrots were admitted into the circle, but din't mix with the others.
Great capture and note.
Kind regards and have a Happy New Year !
