Sydney Harbour Bridge is the main crossing of Sydney Harbour carrying vehicular, rail, and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the North Shore. The dramatic water vista of the bridge together with the nearby Sydney Opera House is an iconic image of both Sydney and Australia. The bridge is colloquially referred to as the Coathanger because of its arch-based design, although this usage is less prevalent than it once was.

The bridge was the city's tallest structure until 1967. According to Guinness World Records, it is the widest long-span bridge in the world and is the largest steel arch bridge with the top of the bridge standing 134 metres above the harbour also.

This photo was taken 20 minutes after sunset. It is my second post of this shot. This time I posted a bigger file size and used a smaller frame, so the photo has a better quality now.

I love the lighting and the colours of this and the composition is excellent with the bridge drawing the viewer to the skyline.
Wonderful work!!

Fantastic postcard! Lovely details: the flag, the pier, the sky...

Beautifull HDR. Very well done. I wonder: Did you make this manually in PS or did you use Photomatix? I like the composition of lines very much! Good job, greetings Arjuna.

Hi Manuel
Very pretty view of Sydney taken during the blue hour. The pink, blue and yellow reflections are very attractive. Your pov is original with this little jetty making a nice foreground. I like how the flag is flying on top of the bridge.

Nikki

Hi Manuel, Wonderful photo the lighting on this night shot is superb, excellent POV & great depth, love the colours, kind regards Wilson.

Very good POV with the bridge aside and the city in background! Also you obtained a good DOF and sharpness. The bulwark from foreground is a bit disturbing; I made an workshop for this.

Hallo Manuel,
Looking at you gallery I see you like dusk photos as I do.
I like this one for its composition as well as the blue hour, the foreground pier gives depth to your view and the coathanger on the right provides a powerful pointer to this famous skyline. Considering you mention use of the mandatory tripod, I'm a bit surprised to see the bridge appear a little bit blurred, maybe it's my bad screen, anyway I like the view !
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hello Manuel,

One of the better pictures I've seen of Sydney harbour. The colours, exposure and composition are superb but it is the detail in the sky which lifts this above the ordinary.

Bonsoir Manuel,
L'office du Tourisme va certainement te demander d'en faire d'autres pour leurs folders, elle est magnifique la vue panoramique.
Couleurs et lumières sont top.
A+ Joseph

this is a very unique skyline with the bridge. i really like the illuminated city and the reflections.

Beautiful shot of Sydney skyline with the famous bridge.
Quite a fresh look without the Opera building. ;)
Colors are just perfect.
Well done!

This one just leaps out of your gallery, Manuel. You took this at the perfect time of day for this kind of photography, and the bright lights of the city have combined beautifully with the deep blue of the evening sky. I also like the colourful reflections in the water.
Your composition is excellent too, and I like the inclusion of the brightly lit structure in the foreground.
Good stuff!
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Manuel, this is a very beautiful shot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Because it is photographed so often it is very difficult to shoot and have your picture stand out. You have done this here. You have excellent composition with your dock in the foreground and the CBD in background. The reflections and colour at night just add to the shot. It gives me something to work towards.

Thanks, John

Excellent shot. I thought some of the pictures of Italy are nice but some of the technical points let them down (focus, exposure, etc) but this shot is just superb. Colours, composition, sharpness. GREAT!
