Photographer’s Note
Well here's another of my favourites from Boulders Beach, facing south with the setting sun to the right, an 8 second exposure allowed me to squeeze just enough light out of the silky looking water, i particulalry like the effect on the water in the midground where the light is reflecting nicely for a glassy glow;the foreground i also like, enough movement but not too much to ruin the foamy swirls. Maybe the sky is a bit blown out, maybe i should have taken another exposure with which i could have merged this, but then perhaps the reflection would have looked unrealistically bright. anyway there you go!

Lovely again, Jez. You've chosen a clever time of day to maximize your exposure time. Nicely done!

Nice work, i don't think that the sky is too blown out--maybe a little bit, but i don't think it's distasteful or distracting. i also enjoy the composition, with the rocks leading back with great depth. Well seen and executed.
Thanks!

Hi Jez,
I like this! Great composition and I too don't think the sky is too blown out at all. I like the soft water effect from the long exposure. TFS :-)

Very, very artistic shot, Jez. The swirl in the front makes wonders! The mist above the water gives a special enchanting mood. The light on the top is probably a little bit overexposed and you could do a very tight cropping here to get rid of it without damaging the overall impression. Let me do a WS to show you what I mean.
Kindest Regards, Peter

The view and the light are superb and you captured very well the mood of the place and the moment.
The POV/compo is very good and the exposure is fabulous. That white water flowing on the sand that looks like mist gives a mistic mood that is amazing.
pboehringer's WS is also nice, but I prefer the original, as I think it doesn't need anything else and I miss the piece of sky on the top right corner that is cropped in the WS and gives some symetry to the triangles formed below.
