Photographer’s Note
I think, this is on the Manchester Unity Building. I took many photographs that day, and I forgot to make a note of what this one was. I really liked it however and thought I would share it. This is one of the things that I liked about Melbourne, and in fact, Australia, the fine old architecture, the statues and sculptures.
The reason, I think this is the Manchester Unity building, is because I have a picture of it and the walls look similar. Lame excuse I know. :-)
Please correct me if I am wrong about this. Specially if you know which building this is.
I'll probably be posting a picture of the Manchester Unity Building next anyway. It is really nice and another great example of fine architecture.
I rotated the picture a bit. Cropped it. Adjusted the contrast a bit.

Yes Dinyar, this is definitely the Manchester Unity building. When it was completed in 1932 it was the tallest building in Melbourne and it's still an impressive building. Your photograph is a lovely shot of this particular detail.

You spotted this detail very well - I like the lines and statues you got on the image - Nice work indeed.

A beautiful architectural detail, Dinyar. Wouldn't know what to workshop on this one (as you're asking in your note ;-) - I think you captured the contrast, perspective and details really well here. I like those brown and ochre tones on the building. Well done.
