A view across Sydney Harbour, towards the city, from the North. A very blowy, gusty night, and starting to get quite a chill in the air.

Hi Chris, quite a good shot. I like the dark blue reflection in the water and the relativly dark opera in contrast to the office buildings. The bridge looks so enormously big !!! For composition I think a better use of the rules of thirds for the horizon would enhance the pic. Otherwise well done.
I see you are getting used to the D70 :)
Myself I'm thinking of getting the Minolta Dimage A2. As the D70 is not my price range and I like to do also those little movies... :) I have a little fear of the noise subject although :(

Whish this was a Large Panorama... Beautiful colors and details. The clouds add some extra interest to the sky. Only miss a bit more sharpening in the buildings.

Your night shots are improving at rapid speed, Chris. This one is wonderful - very good exposure handling, and good detail on the scenery (although I'm strongly with José in wanting to see a large panoramic version of this, if at all possible). The subtle blue light reflections on the water are great as well. Very nicely done.

Whomever shot New York at night, has this to think about.Bright colors sandwiched in between dark bluish seafront and smoke grey clouds. While the bridge leads to this effect.
That's how I see how good this picture is.

A very nice night shot, Chris. I like the grey tones of the sky. Wonderful colors, and very good narrow frame. You coukd try a large size panorama here.

This is an unusual view of Sydney. Most of the postcards go for the side view with the Opera House floodlit in white. I'd crop away 1/2 the water.
