Escape from the city Photo

Photographer’s Note

Perth was abuzz with activity on this particular Sunday. In the morning, there was a major charity run (City to Surf) which took runners from the center of the city out to the beach (12km). In the afternoon, there was a major Australian Rules football match between the 2 local teams - the Freo Dockers and the West Coast Eagles. I decided to escape the insanity of the city with some friends and we ended up at a winery just south east of Perth. This photo was taken at Millbrook Winery.

Lovely close-up for those flowers and the butterfly. And vivid colours. POV for the butterfly is not best possible, but it doesn't really matter.

Hi Sylvia, this is a lovely nature shot, the buds and branch look so colourful and full of life, the sky in the background is effective in setting of the colours of the new buds. the butterfly is great and the moment you chose to photograph it is good as we see its detail as well as a hint of a flutter in its wings.
