Photographer’s Note
Taken on a boat trip along the Adelaide River, this shot shows a wild crocodile jumping out of the river! I'm not sure what they're doing is a good idea, but basically boats run along the river with chunks of meat on rope trailing along next to them - and when one of the crocodiles gets hungry WHOOOSH - flying crocodile :)
This is a Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), the largest species of reptile currently still roaming the Earth! Despite the name Salties as they're commonly known don't just inhabit salt water, they're perfectly at home in freshwater marshes and rivers where they usually spend the wet season.

Good tonality of the scales and non distracting background of the water makes this a nice, clean shot.

This animal pic can stand with the best I've seen (no pun intended). And no, I don't think what they're doing is a good idea.

Yes, a very good one, taken at the right time (short, I suppose) to get the croc fully in extension, legs sticked to the body and bulging eyes. As Adam, I also appreciate the plain background.

How could I have miss this one?
It's the perfect "instant-wild-life-shot" and it turned really great!
Very impressive...

perfect shot, and perfect supidity of humans, did you hang over the edge for the shot, imagine drifting along trailing your fingers in the water...... nice photo, sad for the crocodiles....... "up boy, beg" is next

What a nice photo to look at! Looks like the crocodile looked for you to pose for this shot saying come on, look at me. Its legs are tied to its body, and there's also a smooth curve in the mouth, as if it was a smile. :)

nice smile on this one. It's a Classic shot, and I've been looking for shots taken with the 28-235IS. How would you compare that lens to the 24-70/2.8?
