Photographer’s Note
This is my third photo of the Duyfken - meaning 'little dove' in Dutch (please correct me if that is wrong and you are Dutch!). Previous uploads are here, with historical information and here.
This shot of the stern was also taken at Williamstown, where I was lucky that there were few people about on this day, when the ship was closed to the public. I particularly liked the bright colours of the paintwork and the flag (thank you, wind), and the way the sunlight was glancing off the hull at the right of the picture. The clouds were unusual on this day.

Nice picture, very luminous, I like your crop and sharpness. And it's very inviting to climb the ropes!:) "Contrast of times" is great again.
Good one, really
Have a nice weekend

The ship looks beautiful, the low light and the colors are very good. However, I think the background is distracting. Every time I look at the photo my eyes go straight to the tug and the cranes. I think that a POV showing much more of the back of the stern would be better and more interesting. This is my opinion, anyway. Thanks for sharing.

I think this is the best of your series of shots of this ship. There's a greater richness of colour, and I like the tighter composition, just showing a part of the boat.
Good work.

Hello Andrew
This is an excellent shot on so many fronts. Wonderful colours and compostion and lovely movement with the flag. I also liek the fact that you've captured the modern in behind the old. It makes the historical ship look even more elegant in contrast.
Best regards

Hi Andrew, this is a really great shot. The light is perfect, giving strong colours on the boat itself. The background looks good too, particularly the sky. Nice contrast between the blue sky & the yellow flag. Good work.

Hi Andrew
a closer shot on the sunny wooden bow aside with the yellow flag contrasts marvellous to the blue fine clouded sky. Fine to see on second level the other boats and including the quay with the robe to the ship frames this scene nicely.
Very appealing shot with a perfect finishing in colors and contrasts.
