Photographer’s Note

This is on Fitzroy Island, off the coast of Queensland, not to far from Cairns. It's a resort, and, I believe, a National Park.

The beach is called Nudey Beach, and when I got there, I discovered it was named for function, rather than after some old English explorer type with a slightly unfortunate name. I was lucky indeed that 1) the beach wasn't busy and 2) the water had finally settled down giving me more luminous colours than the somewhat unexpected murky brown I had been looking at for the previous two weeks of my trip there. I let the camera do its job here - there's not much you can do to improve on perfection.
