Photographer’s Note
These guys were amongst a very attentive crowd watching the chess games in the park. Looking around at these faces can be very amusing. Some seem to know what they are looking at, and others are very good at pretending :) I would hate to be playing the chess with all these "experts" watching on.

Nice image Chris, I like it. Those guys seem really into what they are watching. Nice catch.
The black and white is nice here. The wide framing too.

I like the tone of B&W on this one, Chris!
The only thing that I dislike is the pillar on the left. Anyway, this is nice shot. Well done.

A very good capture, Chris. I like their expressions. One is worried, second is bored, the thisrd is sad, and the fourt looks like he's inside the game. Very well done, I like the b/w here.

Black and White is a good choice, especially now we know what the guys are looking at: a game in black and white! I think this is a very good shot, showing different positions, different faces and different cloths. But the people are united because of their shared attention to some (slow) action beyond the frame of the picture. Well seen!

Hi Chris, 4 people doing the same in for different ways :) You have a good composition (with just the one standing in the middle a little disturbing) with a good frame. Yours, Jan

Excellent B/W shot! Four completely different characters portrayed in a perfect way. Technically, I will prefer the composition without some distracting elements, such as the hand trail, or the guy with the white t-shirt. Anyway, a really good result!

Chris you have captured a lot of expressions. I like the B & W. Good people shot. The two men on the right make the picture. Very well done.

So do they sometimes break into spontaneous applause when they witness a very good move? ;-) Kidding. I think it's a great people study - different postures, ages, faces and expressions. I also like your "panoramic" cropping and the choice of b&w. Well seen, Chris.

Excellent !!!
I love them all, in particular the first one one the left, for whom this game seems to be a case of life or death ! :-D
A great capture Chris, very well seen !
