I was sitting at Darling Harbour having a drink when seaguls flew by. I took the opportunity to get close to one that decided to take a walk. I think it has a nice red beak and web feet.

This bird defenatly has a very nice red beak. I also notice the red circle around the eye. Quit a good shot. The colours of the feathers are good as well as focus. It could be a bit sharper maybe and i would prefer an off center position of the bird.

The beak and eyes are very striking - I wonder what species it is? The depth of field is good - the way how you have defocussed the background to concentrate on the bird works well. Two possible improvements - maybe if you composed it so the bird was off centre? Also bird photos often work better at the eye-level of the bird so maybe if it was taken from a lower position and closer? Of course that second bit depends on the aggressiveness of the type of bird! I've done a workshop with a less central composition.
