Interesting shot showing where the action is.
Two things Adrian - the horizon is tilted and I think an improvement would be if you cropped the white line from the top. I hope you don't mind me pointing that out.

I like the symmetry here and the framing of the scene beyond. However, there are a lot of distractions that could be removed by judicious cropping eg the cut off man and traffic light on the right and the cut off banner on the left. Also, the wire above distracts. (By removing the left and right distractions, more focus is given to your main elements - the man and the archway. See workshop.)

well... i don't know if with that tiny waves, surfers are happy :P This photo is ok, i think you could have composed her better... croping the shoulder in the right side, avoiding that wire... it has potencial... but i think you can do better.

I find these picture absolutely not bad, maybe a few little mistake, first your horizont tilt to left, also the cropped as well as, to left and to righthand, I have making a WS, I hope you appreciate I will help and not hurt!

Hi Adrian,
the quality of scan is quite good and I would have never guessed it wasn't taken with a digital camera.
The low light paints the frame with beautiful warm colours, but more informative note about the scene would help us understand what we see here.
Just an ordinary beach entrance or...?
