Photographer’s Note
Sunset of Grossard Point, Phillip Island. This is one of the few spots on Southern Mainland Australia where you can get a sunset shot with the land to your left... Byron Bay's another...

Just perfect!this is one of my favourites!I love the "explosion" of light given by the sunset in contrast with the falling night where you were standing!Brilliant!

the left hand land is good if you are a westerner reading left to right..and we are.
so the shot works..you can flip you know so long as you dont title the shot as a record one..this is a sunset and could be anywhere.
it is so fluid and secure with the sun just breaking the well placed horizon to allow the canopy and dayglow to be kept in.
have you seen the green flash which some sunsets produce in the water?

Un sujet très classique mais très bien réussi. J'apprécie la finesse des détails des vagues sur la plage et des nuages. Les teintes orangées qui se mèlent au bleu du ciel sont superbes !

Nicely captured with beautiful detail in the sky. The ocean looks like liquid silver. I have seen the same scene myself, awaiting the penguins.
