The red interior of Australia is a fascinating place for one like me coming from the north countries where we are used to green or to white depending on the seasons. The vastness of the desert was also new to me.

The red color of the sand with the bluish colors of the shrubs was magnificent. It had rained once a week for 5 weeks after a 5 year drought and the nature took adwantage of it. I will try to find a photo that shows that.

Mount Conner is the third of the big monolith in the area with Uluru and Kata Tjuta. It is 100 km east of Uluru along the Lasseter highway. It is on a private cattle ranch. It is nearly 1000 ft above the plain.

It was over 40C.

L'intérieur rouge de l'Australie est un endroit fascinant pour uelqu'un comme moi venant des pays du nord où nous sommes habitués à la verdure ou à la neige selon les saisons. L'immensité du désert était également nouvelle à moi. La couleur rouge du sable à côté des couleurs bleuâtres des arbustes était magnifique. Il avait plu une fois par semaine pendant 5 semaines après une période de sécheresse de 5 ans et la nature avait pris avantage de cette pluie. J'essayerai de trouver une photo qui montre cela.

Le Mont Conner est le troisième des grand monolithes dans le secteur avec Uluru et Kata Tjuta. C'est à 100 kilomètres à l'est d'Uluru le long de la route de Lasseter. Il est sur un ranch privé. C'est presque 1000 pi au-dessus de la plaine.

Il faisait au dessus de 40C.
