Photographer’s Note
Maria Island is a special place with something for everyone - historic ruins, sweeping bays, rugged cliffs and mountains, and remarkable wildlife.
Set just off the warm east coast, the island is easily accessed by ferry. Once on the island you will discover a place where there are no motor vehicles and no shops.
Maria Island was once the home of whalers and sealers which were set up on its shores in the early 1800s. The Island has been, amongst other things, a setting for convict stations, a sheep station and a base for the National Portland Cement Company. It is now a National Park

I can see a faint rainbow. I hope there is a strong focal point in this.

I like the simplicity in the lines and colours of this photo. It makes you want to be there and take a walk in the vastness of the fields.
The slight rainbow also adds a touch of happiness to the picture.
Very good composition with the darker green in the foreground; the fence seems to be there, just to separate it from the lighter green, and the little clumps of trees in the foreground on the right side.
Just one question though, why do you call it a cemetery fence?
Have a good day, or night, I think, down under.
Marie Louise.
