Taken on the side of Hyde Park which faces St. Mary's Cathedral. Hyde Park is located in Sydney's Central Business District and is bordered by Elizabeth Street, College Street (the side the photo was taken) and Liverpool Street. Park street divides the park into two halves. Inside the park you will find the ANZAC War Memorial facing the Pool of Reflection and some beautiful gardens. Hyde Park is a few minutes walk away from Sydney's Centrepoint Tower, the Queen Victoria Building and the Australian Museum. Another ten minutes or so will bring you to Chinatown.
During the day it is filled with people escaping the confines of the office for their lunch breaks. You can also witness giant chess games on the Elizabeth Street side (at the end of Market St). And not to mention, the numerous pigeons awaiting food scraps. At night, the park is just as beautiful when the pathways are lit by street lamps and also with fairy lights entwined within the tree branches which form a stunning archway along the paths. Perfect for a stroll by couples of young and old.
