| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This shot was taken at North Head, the opening of the Sydney Harbour into the Pacific Ocean. All along the bushwalks around Sydney, including North Head, Manly, Bondi and Royal National Park, there are huge cliffs at the bottom of which crash huge waves. Unfortunately I am not able to capture the depth of this photo very much, considering I took it without that intention at the time.
This cliff was close to 50 meters and at the bottom were two fishermen, perilously perched on rocks that would recieve huge waves every once and a while. After spending time at this spot, to my amazement, the fishermen began to climb up the cliff, holding their rods and using extremely old ladders on ledges no wider than 1/2 meter.
Now that I remember this instance, I will try to find a photo that depicts this well enough and post it soon.

Eric, I know what you were going for here in this photo, as I have some similar shots in my collection. The photographs really don't do the setting justice; putting the scene onto a flat surface it is hard to conceive the actual depth. There does appear to be some major crashing of waves down there, down the "50m" you claim! :)
I would really like to see photos of these climbers you talk about. Thanks for sharing, mate.
