Photographer’s Note
The opera house is probably THE most photographed object in Australia. But I thought this photo provides a view not seen by most people. I was lucky enough to get a helicopter flight over the harbour on my honeymoon in 2003. The pilot told us that the large house you see in the grounds at the top of the picture belongs to Russell Crowe, however a TE member has pointed out that it is in fact part of the botanical gardens! :)

Yes sure, good to see this from above. It is easier to understand that holness of it. At the moment, you flied, there was no people around it, but maybe you couldn´t choice the time exactly. It is good, that you have not only concentrated to that main object, but shown surroundings too !

Exccelent composition Andy! I wanted to give you 2 points right away, but refrained myself because of you know what ... :) Very nice picture and you took it from a moving helicopter. Very impressive. It's even perfect I would say.

great photo.... but the house on the top does not belong to RusselL Crowe. It is the Queen house in the Botanic Garden. :)

Great view of the Opera House (of course it's impressive from all angles!) and one that not everyone gets to see.
BTW, Russell Crowe has an apartment in Wooloomooloo! Just a bit further along the shore ;)
