I saw a photograph by Izabela Fedyszyn (Curious_Eye) in her Featured Photos Gallery, and couldn't resist a "reply"! They're spookily similar (great minds obviously thinking alike), and call me a dirty old man, but they both remind me of a girl's body. What doesn't?
Photograph made last time I was in Sydney, having lived "up the road" in Newcastle 10 years previously. We intend to visit again on the 10th anniversary, which is next year, so watch out Lisa, Juzo and the rest!

good POV and fine sky toning. The structure looks so abstract from close view! Well done, best regards, F.

I like this close-up view of the famous building a lot, the reflections, the light, the fine graphism, the great sharpness...

Good scanned archive image. Excellent close up! Usually we have seen this famouse building from big distance, without the details. Impressive sharpness. I'd like to see next photos from your archive.

that's a very uncommon shot of this famous building and I would have never recognized it but for the title. Great angle and sharpness on very tiny details, nice to see such things at close quarters, you won't see that much from a distance. A girl's body? Haha... may be... sort of lady gaga's plastic corset:)))

I had never seen before that World Famous Building from that pov and with that composition... pretty interesting and truly beautiful!
TFS - congrats,

Wow! What a superb and unique shot of this well-known building! Like it a lot especially the 3d effect created by the lights and textures. Excellent!

I also took a similar picture over 20 years ago. It was just after I had joined a camera club and I was drawn to the graphic shapes. My picture was certainly not as well taken as this one of yours but it did win me the Chairman's award at the club (given to newcomers to photography). I enjoy the particular crop that you chose and how well you handled the bright spot. The shiny surface against the deep blue sky is super. Excellent take.
Kind Regards, Ann

Yes, you D.O.M. indeed! But the textures (which are wonderful) are a little too hard and severe for me: I prefer a bit of softness and compliance, if you know what I mean.
A very graphic image [and I can quite see why Ann (annjackman) finds this one so appealing] with wonderfully strong lines and brilliant lighting. The contrast between the light tones of the Opera House and the almost indigo sky are wonderful.
Lovely lighting, perfect exposure and stunning sharpness.
P.S. Ah, ha, now I see it - left thigh flexed upwards and right thigh amputated just below the hip - have I got it right?

mi piace il gioco dei volumi aumentato dal taglio stretto dell'immagine.
Buono il contrasto tra l'azzurro e il bianco con un perfetto sharp,

Having read your comment, I awaited this photo and here it comes! It did not disappoint. They are, indeed, sister images, although - fortunately - not entirely twin-like! :)

Wonderful taken , nevertheless a very difficult picture through the diverse light.
High quality and sharpness.
Excellent composition, pleasant colors too.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice Saturday,

Hi dear Will
heheheheh...what doesn't remind you of a woman's body? Love it. But yes, I think you're right. The converse of that is that every skyscraper reminds me of a fella's ;) Anyway, a very artistic crop here, I love the contrast between the cream tones of the OH's shells and that blue sky. The image looks a little on my monitor, but admittedly, my monitor is playing tricks on me with many of my own photos. I love the textures and tones as well as the wonderful graphism your photo accentuates. The PH is being lit up each night during May - you might want to see the results on the net, they're pretty fab. And I hope to get out on one of these cold nights and take a few shots myself. Oh, and you;re more than welcome in 2013, please let us know the details as you get closer to the arrival date, it would be great to show you around - without cramping your style of course ;)
Cheers, have a good one
