What a beautiful scene. As you know, an object right in the middle FG often is not a good idea but here it works very well indeed, possibly because of the diagonal orientation of the tree. A very pleasant view.

this is a lovely view along the river as it meanders across the australian countyside. the trees are very distinctive and the one in the centre provides a great focal point. lovely colours and light. it looks like a painting.

Hello leslie ,
It is curious , but it seems that the trees have burnt . The contrast with the greenery and the water is stunning . The tree in the center has an attractive silhouette and is an important element of the composition .

the composition is superb and the view very clear and beautiful with marvellous depth and lovely colours. I love the sloping foreground and the leaning tree, your framing is excellent. Lighting is masterful creating great balance and harmony in such a rich composition.
Well done and thank you!

Good one Les - and a good stitching. A classic after rain view - possibly near the Hume Reservoir? Good colours and you've made good use of the dead trees (flooded one year, dry the next!).

I had no idea Murray was such a nice river! And the facts you say in the note came as a total surprise. But back to the image: It's a wonderful piece of art. So many colors and so pleasant to look at!

Hello Leslie - What a detailed landscape and so unusual. The meandering river threads its way across what looks like a flood plain, I love what appear to be dead trees dotting the valley floor. A really fascinating landscape and a pleasure to see. Warm regards Rosemary

A very interesting note about the Murray River and a fine photograph with which to illustrate it.
And, try as I might, I see no evidence of any "joins" in your stitched picture and I defy anyone else to find any. The composition is lovely with the meandering river leading the eye from bottom right through the whole vista. The almost sketal tree makes an interesting foreground and the distant mountains a fine background beneath an interesting sky. The definition and sharpness are superb as are the colours.

WOW, Leslie, great job here for sure, with the stunning clarity and superb detail to color and light. Your POV and DOF are perfect and well composed. There's something about this photo, and I'm not sure what it is, but it's so surreal and magical, it could be the dead trees in the river bed, but not sure. All and all this photo is EXCELLENT!!

What a choice you present me today, with all these fabulous photos to critique in your Gallery. The Tessilated Tassie one is a cracker. But I couldn't ignore this photo as it brought home some beautiful childhood memories with my grandpa fishing and camping along the Murray, the Darling and the Murrimbidgee Rivers. Before drought and irrigation ruined these beautiful rivers. Love the silvery light on the water and the way the river curves through the image, leading the eye on a beautiful journey. The colours are luminous, the trees give a wonderful natural graphism and the light can be no other than Australian. Love it, thanks for sharing.
Have a great day
