Photographer’s Note
A morning walk starting at Circular Quay, walking through the Rocks, and up a set of steps to take one over the Harbour Bridge affords the early riser a fantastic vista of the city from Jeffery Street pier.
I took this with my new toy which, so far, is a most impressive piece of kit (recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their current digital SLR).
Within PSCS, shadow and highlight adjusted both to a 20% threshold, then desaturated, followed by a yellow then red variation adjustment to produce the sepia toning.
Comments, observations and workshops, as always, invited.
Season's greetings and best regards,
Vic, Singapore. 24th December 2004

hi Vic,
What a pleasant place and nice color! If you avoid the building at the extreme right, it may be better.
overall effect is very good.

Hi Vic,
Really nice landscape composed in a good atmosphere.
The choice of sepia tone works well and give a futurist feeling.
Anyway I think that the horizon is titlted and that the perspective may be corrected.

Interesting and unusual treatment for this shot containing two of the most shot subjects in the world. Nice work, added to theme.

Belle image et post-traitement original. Le grand-angle est le bienvenu ici et le S3 pro est bien baptisé. Bravo !

Love this one - really sharp and enjoy the sepia look.
Not sure whether your horizon is accidentally or deliberately skewed. If the latter it compliments the downward angle of the harbour bridge

What an interesting choice, Vic, to go for sepia. But I must say it provides for a different view of those two famous works of architecture. Clear in spite of the very dark tone. But the horizon is definitely tilted.
