Taken at the City of Darebin, Homemade Wine & Beer Festival.

The Homemade Wine & Beer Festival is a free, multicultural event, promoting wine and beer makers of the local Darebin community, a free wine & beer tasting event.

This gentleman was one of many happy to promote & share his finely honed skills in winemaking.

This advent was well attended by many EXPERT wine & beer tasters including most of the local vagrants, bums, hobos etc. etc.

A good day had by all.

hello Santo,
Are you sure this is the right photo you wanted to post? It should have been one with tattoo. I imagine your were pretty drunk and still having the hangover. This must have been shot before the drinking.

The perfect dark background works very well for this B&W. Excellent details and definition.

Hi Santo,
I'm glad you shot this before the sampling began, otherwise you might have been as drowsy as this wine maker/taster/expert looks.

Great use of the B/W, good framing too. Sharp details, I can easily read the label and the blends.

I'm not game enough to ask how the rest of the shots from the tasting turned out. Lucky for all of you Lisa wasn't there, otherwise there wouldn't have been much vino left to taste. :)))

Great shot caro Santo, I'm interested to know which category of "expert" you fit into :) The choice of B&W was superb, your subject has a very charismatic face and I like how he proudly displays his produce (or his stash?). Hi Santo, nice sharp shot and the flash is well controlled, leaving lots of texture on his face. Composition works well, with the main subject still taking the attention despite the prominence of the bottle. Did you accept the offer of a lift home?? cheers, Steve

Probably not quite like Penfolds, but likely to be cheaper. A nice portrait of a proud local producer and interesting labels. It must have been an unforgettable festival.

Ciao caro Santo,
chi è questo Rosario Iannella che fa questi intrugli con le percentuali? :-) Ma vuoi mettere un buon goto di Prosecco, Cabernet o Merlot? Scherzi a parte, io non conosco i vini australiani (me li farai assaggiare quando verrò a trovarti) ma ho sentito dire che la produzione è ottima, come ottima è questa simpatica fotografia, fatta molto bene, dove hai giocato bene con le luci e le ombre (non di vino). Mi piace molto l'effetto delllo sfondo nero. Bravissimo, e fai un cin-cin anche alla mia salute!

bellissimo questo bianco e nero, ma cosa sono quelle percentuali? non usate l'uva?
