Photographer’s Note
Another in my series from Grenfell.
This photo is of the side of the house built during the depression - flattened corrugated iron walls held together by wire, dirt floors, no electricity and lived in until 1983 (see my last couple of postings).
This photo shows the side of the house with the water tank (slightly out of focus) on the left then the fire place and more of the wall with all the colours of the iron rusting.

Hello Ian,
We usually take photos of the beautiful, but also very interesting to see the rest of the things that surround us and which once served for something or someone.
Wonderful light and textures.
Best wishes,
Charo

Hello Ian
We seem to be on to a bit of a rusty theme at the moment - rural Australia is full of corrugated iron. Your idea to focus on the close-up details of this house is effective. The fireplace and the way the iron has been flattened to stretch it further are certainly interesting. Life must have been tough. I am thinking of a corrugated iron shed I will post next. Tfs, Marlene
