Photographer’s Note
On our recent trip to Grenfell in the central west of NSW we visited the Weddin Mountains national park. Within the NP is an old farm (Seaton's) where the main building is definitely not a chateau (see my previous posting).
The farm was developed during the depression (1930s). This view is of the "house" - hand built of corrugated iron where they flattened the corrugated iron to make it cover more. The house has only 1 window and was lived in until 1983! The floors are dirt. There was no electricity - a battery operated radio stood in the dirt. Other facilities were also primitive - the one dam was dug by hand. Old farm equipment littered the area. I'll post another photo from the farm tomorrow.

Hi Ian,
impressive photo of this humble house with graphic details, but, the environment is beautiful. The colours and lights are very nice, suggestive shot. Have a nice day!

Hi Ian,
Very funny title. You know I think if it wasn't for corrugated iron there'd hardly be a building out in the bush.
Nice shot, good light, good composition and wonderful atmospherics.
You K20D boys are sure getting great picture quality out of your kit.
Regards

Hello Ian
Certainly not a chateau, nor a shed but rather a house! Looks to be in good order - the corrugated iron firmly attached. Colours are good - as is the pov. Pity you cut the top off the tree though! Tfs, Marlene

Hi Ian, I like your title - no it definitely aint a chateau. Amazing how folks livefd - even up until 1983. Wow. I like the play of shadows in the FG too, a nice and typically Australian bush scene. Happy Thursday, Lisa.

Hi Ian,
frankly speaking, what impressed me at once - at the very first glance at the photo - is the shadows on the grass in the FG! amazing.. I wonder what the photo would look like without these shadows? They add an element of mystery to this scene!
A very interesting photo of this ... "chateau", and an interesting Note :) Very good composition :)
Best regards
and wishes of a nice weekend!
