Photographer’s Note

North Stradbroke Island is a sand about 40 kilometres east of Brisbane City, on the far side of Moreton Bay. This rocky headland called 'Point Lookout' is the only real solid part of the island, the remainder of the 38km long island is all sand particles bound together by vegetaion. The island attracts many tourists on daytrips from Brisbane, or residents who take the ferry over to spend a weekend away. The marine wildlife that exists around here is remarkable, from this vantage I saw many sharks, dolphins and turtles. It is a great spot to sit and watch the world go past.
