Photographer’s Note
A beautiful backwater, upstream on the Serpentine River. This area is a haven for waterbirds, in particular both Great and Little Egrets - I hope to post a close-up on one of these birds sometime soon.

Hello Jeff,
beautiful image of the bayou Australien which I discover thanks to TE and through your compositions.
I would have preferred a broader version, with this tree in foreground and his reflection.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Jeff.
I just caught up with this one in your gallery, that I hadn't had a look at for a while. I love these river gums - there's a big forest of them just north of Echuca in Victoria, called the Barmah forest. Your shot is so well exposed and the reflection in the still water is superb. Incredibly sharp and a good square crop. Nice work.
Regards,
Andrew
