Photographer’s Note

On 3rd March 2009, the Diamond Princess, at 115,000 tonnes and over 950' in length, became the largest cruise ship to berth inside the Port of Fremantle. This beautiful ship can accommodate almost 3,900 passengers and crew at full capacity, and was built at a cost of approx. US$500 million. The ship was accompanied by two large tug boats, but was able to turn around inside the narrow harbour and berth alongside the International Passenger Terminal almost unaided - very impressive!
