This is an old water bubbler in Hyde Park, Sydney. The architecture dates back to the late Victorian era and is in the Gothic style (my favourite). The water bubbler - or water fountain can be found just near the Sydney War Memorial at the southern end of Hyde Park. Behind it is the New South Wales Museum and Sydney Boys' Grammar, both beautiful examples of 19th Century architecture.
Focal length: 28 mm

The 37 seconds exposure time seems a bit too long but in fact gave you a perfect shot, with excellent colours and a great amount of detail. Well done.

riesci a gestire l'esposizione in maniera perfetta tirando fuori dal cilindro un'immagine bellissima ed interessante.
Un carissimo abbraccio.

Great shot. I also love the deep rich colours that explode from the long exposure. Architectual details stand out (as Antonio articulates). I have walked past this magnificant 'bubbler' over the years but after seeing your shot I now want to go and make a detailed examination of this art work. Thanks for sharing :)

The epitome of Victorian Gothic, reminds me of the Albert Memorial in London without the statue of Prince Albert. A well framed composition designed to show off the detail in the stonework to good effect. The exposure is very well managed as in all you night time shots.

Another excellent night picture!
All the architectural details were superbly highlighted by the outstanding management of light and sharpness! Vertical format, pov and composition are also very good! Great photograph!
TFS - congratulations!
Have a very good week!
My warmest regards,

Top notch exposures, the golden tones are very pleasing to the eye. You are certainly getting the knack for these night shots, you will be bored of that soon and next you'll be doing underwater shots :-). Fine note to accompany this image, well done

the architecture of this old water bubbler is very interesting and fascinating. You are presenting the building from an excellent POV. The long exposure works excellently and creates a very fascinating impression and pleasant colors.
By the way, I had a great laugh while reading Jim’s comment. TFS!

pende un pò a sinistra, ma comunque rimane una foto di qualita' superiore.

Well seen, the water bubbler is indeed tres posh. The colour of the sandstone in the incandescent light looks wonderful. The contrast also looks good against the black sky.
I think with a little bit of playing in Photoshop you could have easily straightened the leaning verticals on the bubbler and the building in the background, tsk, tsk.
Patience is a virtue you know.

Wow, Lisa, you just let that light trickle into your camera, don't you?
Neat place, nice monument - can you drink from the water fountain?
I like how you control that camera, you just make it behave just how you'd have it behave!
