Photographer’s Note

Here is cape byron lighthouse in byron bay. This lighthouse is the most easterly point in australia.
Pic was taken early on an overcast morning with long exposure to get the movement in the clouds.Taken with the kit 55 mm lens.

hi Brad,
pitty the feature showing EXIF data has not been restored yet, so can you tell how long was the exposure? in any case, the result is very, very nice, the movement in the clouds create an impression of impossibly strong wind, or Aurora Borealis gone mand :) purple cast adds to the surreal mood, I like the shot a lot, this could be a great illustration for some sci-fi space novel :)
best,

Hi Brad,
Probably Australia's most famous lighthouse and you present it very good way in this long (how long?) exposure. Love the purple toning in the sky, just as the moving clouds, but also how you placed the lighthouse in the framing...excellent composition with strong lines.
A very good one. I have shot this one myself, but the result was never as good as in this one...great shot.

Hi Brad,
Brilliant work getting the light and tone right here at a tricky time of day. The tone is elegant and the sharpness is great. Wonderful composition.

Justin
