Photographer’s Note
Have you ever wondered what the inside of a car carrier looks like? Well, it looks like this. This car carrier that visited the port of Fremantle in Western Australia, can carry up to 6500 cars. It has 12 car decks. Cars are parked in rows and then lashed with nylon straps to the deck. Cars are taken on board by a ramp, generally at the stern of the ship and driven up ramps, like the one you see on the left.
The vessel can also carry other RoRo (Roll-on Roll-off) cargo like tractors, combines bulldozers etc.
I took the picture of an empty deck, just to show you how spacious it is on the inside.
This is actually a panorama of 5 frames stitched together. Each frame was exposed to 1/3 of a second, but without a tripod. Guess my hands are steadier than I thought they were. Using a flash in this case would have been an exercise in futility.

Hey Behran, great photo! I guess your hands must be steady as a rock, these images look sharp!
Great panorama, vanishing point sucking in all those lines, and great idea of scale with the guys on the left of the photo, well done!
Did you know there's a panorama section on this site? You should put this in there!

I had never saw a car carrier. This shot is well done, so it gives me a good idea of what it looks like.

It is lit as an surgery room. It is huge as you say ; human presence on the left gives the scale. Perspective adds to feeling of hugeness. There is no end to that deck.
