Photographer’s Note
SSSHHH! I'm not supposed to be doing this: having just moved into the new house, with a zillion and one things to be done (painting, landscaping, unpacking, etc.!), I'd just dropped off "She who must be obeyed" at the station to send her off to work. She hadn't noticed the camera gear in the back of the car, either - so I made a quick dash down to the Serpentine River on this pristine autumn morning, catching the last of the sunrise lights.
I'm really looking forward to exploring & photographing more of this new environment - but for the moment, back to work!!
See also the different view & squarer format in the workshop.

Jeff,
The lighting is fantastic yielding nice warm colors and good detail.
Your composition is fine using the reflection to create depth and balance for the shot. The photo is sharp and clear with nice DOF.

Jeff, awesome detail and color in this gem, more like looking out a window at it rather than a photo. Great capture.

Hello old mate,
Very nice looking neighborhood, might be a few Bass lurking in that creek.
Good to see you dragging yourself out of the sack early to get this beautiful light. There's something about morning light that gives everything a very special look, too bad the light only lasts a few minutes but well worth the effort.
Nice frame, the vertical crop works well, it's good to see the tops of the foreground trees as well as the reeds in the immediate foreground. That sky is wonderful, the clouds off into the distance look fantastic.
Now, time to get back to digging drainage trenches before you get sprung for sloathing off.
Cheers
Pete

Hi Jeff
Wow what a lovely place you have moved to. I didn't see a lot of Mandurah when I was there but everyone says how beautiful it is. This is stunning scenery, the colours are eye catching, great POV here but also in your workshop, can't decide which I like better as they are both wonderful. "She who must be obeyed"! I like that you know your place :-)
I look forward to seeing more of Mandurah and it's surrounds.
Cheers

Hi Jeff,
You are a little sneaky, I read...haha. I think I would be too. Great morning shot with wonderful light, great reflections on the water and a beautiful sky to top it off! Great work!
Greetings,
Ann
PS: Enjoy your new neighbourhood and hopefully you can show us something now and then! Take care!
