Photographer’s Note
Southbank of the Yarra river has some modern architecture. 300 metres tall Eureka Tower with thin appearance and stripe patterns looks like a ruler to me. As the tallest building of the city it also rules the landscape.
Shot from another skyscraper, Rialto Tower.

Hi Kari
Melbourne was my home town for 40 years and I left just before they built the Eureka Tower so I have never seen it. However the Rialto Tower I have been in many times and you have captured a fine photo of the city and very impressive shot of this relatively new building. The Yarra river looks beautiful in the foreground but where is all the traffic? Very unusual for Melbourne. TFS and taking me back home.
Cheers

Unbelievable, Kari!
Clever title, good contrast between the subdued distance and sharp abstract pattern of the buildings, roads and bridges in the foregrond.
Best wishes,
Winifred

Hi Kari, great title for this shot of the Eureka tower. Inclusion of the river gives a good sense of scale. Those two brown/pink buildings on the left - my office is in the one on the right. cheers, Steve

Hello Kari,
I like this spectacular, impressive view! It's breathtaking! I am not sure that I will ever travel to Australia (though who knows?), so it's very interesting to see it in the photos.
Beautiful view; good depth, very good composition!
Best regards,
Elena

Hello Kari,
Great to see a photo of a sight that I am now familiar with. The Eureka Tower is an incredible building. I would have loved to visit both towers, the other being Rialto, where this great shot was taken. I really like the detail in this photo, along the Yarra and the Southbank precinct. The small cars and people show the scale of the view very well.
Matt
