Photographer’s Note
A natural feature in Springbrook National Park, south of Brisbane. Taken on a tripod early afternoon during light rain, 2 second exposure at F5.6, no filters. Used both built-in flash manually synchronized with a hand-held flash unit held just out of frame to the right; this was necessary to light the foreground bottom left. Levels and sharpening adjusted in Photoshop.

Bonne idée d'avoir utilisé le flash bien dosé à droite afin d'éviter un trop fort contraste.
Cette photo me donne une sensation de fraicheur.
Good idea used the flash proportioned well on the right in order to avoid a too strong contrast. This photograph gives me a feeling of freshness.

Really superb. Everything works here, the composition between the two rocks, the light on the foreground and the lightly colored fall. I find everything very sharp and well balanced.

I love the effect of 2s on the falling water. The colors highlighted by your flash work too are very nice.
(I might have been tempted to crop the greenery off the top of the 'bridge' though - perhaps highlighting the window effect?)

Creative use of framing, like the tension created from the corner to corner composition. Really well done.

Hi Bruce, somehow I missed this one earlier. It is a beauty. Very well seen and executed. Looks like I will have to go to Queensland after all. Thanks for the technical notes, very useful.

Bravo Bruce it makes me think about Peter Lik's photos, I don't know if you know him but he's a great Australian photographer.I bought a photo book of him when I was in Australia last summer and truly with my eyes of non professional your photo has nothing to envy (May be the rock on the right is a little bit to dark).
Splendid.
