Photographer’s Note
In Carleton gardens in Melbourne is home to the Royal Exhnibition building, built for the 1880 international exhibition (prior to the Worlds Fair). It is one of the few buildings remaining from a 19-century Worlds Fair. But if this is typical, that's quite a pity.

Hi Mike.
I've just been looking at Antonio Ribeiro's shot of the same building, taken in very different conditions and viewpoint further away. But yours is good too, and not given enough credit by the viewers. I like the low viewpoint and terrific sharpness. It's very colourful, although the CPL has given it a slight yellow tinge. I find that happens with my shots and I sometimes alter the colour balance and/or reduce saturation. But on the whole it's a very striking shot of this great building.
Regards,
Andrew

Three weeks after my shot the weather was considerably better and the sky is beautifully blue. As Andrew says, the picture seems a bit yellowish but at the same time its warm looking was probably much appropriated for the hot weather you certainly experienced in Melbourne. Well done.
Antonio
