Photographer’s Note
I haven't posted to TE for a little while- what with Christmas, New Year etc. Today I took my 94 year old mother for a drive through a local forest. The Belanglo forest is infamous from a few years ago when some back packers were murdered there (the killer has, fortunately, been locked away for life).
This photo was taken deep into the forest along an isolated dirt road lined with eucalypt (gum) trees - they are of a type that sheds their bark each year exposing colourful new bark underneath.

Hallo Ian!
What a view! These trees really are incredible - especially for European eyes. I like this amazing sky here and the play of light and shadow in the forest. A remarkable place indeed ...
Greetings from wet and cold Germany - and greetings to your mother!

Hi Ian,
Great shot of the Australian bush, it is so beautiful. I know from the time I've spent away from our country how much I miss those majestic and beautiful trees.
Amazing colours you've captured here, the sky through the trees is fantastic and the colours of the trees is wonderful.
Really good shot, congratulations.
Good to see you taking your Mum for an outing.
Cheers
Peter
