[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Lily Windmill overlooks the distant Stirling Ranges, some 90kms NE of Albany, in Western Australia's SW corner. Below is some further information regarding this beautiful landmark:

"This replica Dutch Windmill was built by hand by owner, Mr Pleun Hitzert, using recycled bricks and timber from the old Albany jetty, and completed in 1997. The Lily Dutch Windmill is an authentic 16th Century design brick 'ground-sail' mill. With a 22 tonne cap and sails, it is the only one of its kind and one of the largest windmills ever built in Australia. It is now a fully operating flour mill producing organic, wholemeal and white flour for sale."

Hello Jeff.
This is superb landscape photo with great light and well saturated colours. I like the off-centre composition and the luminous of the clouds.

Jeff,
The positioning of the windmill to the left makes for good composition. The sky is great and forms a fine backdrop for the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The sky creates a great mood for the shot!

Stunning!! sharp and great composition, thanks for sharing. There is so much of interest in this photo not just the windmill, the countryside, the mountains and those brilliant clouds makes me want to go there and be awed by the scenery in real life.

Hi Jeff,
There is at least a kind of Dutch twist inside ;-)
Despite the cloudy weather, your picture shows bright and crisp colours. Sharpness on the mill is excellent, just as your pov...really a great shot, i like it.
Regards, Henk
