[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
A quick stop at a gas-station en route to the south of Perth and here I am, confronted to a new and unknown oz word! With great acumen, I figured 'Sheila', the famous French pop singer? And suddenly, a flash! AAh that's how Aussies call chicks! About 'Bloke'...well I already knew coz' the Brits use it as well. Anyhow I had to immortalize the moment!

photo + note + Hugh's comment made me laugh out loud :)) red on gray stands out really well, at least there should be no misunderstandings what's written on the doors :) suruperb observation, and excellent photo too, exactly what I needeed on this horrible rainy, windy and gray day in NYC. thanks :)

Voilà une manière d'apprendre l'anglais version australienne. Lorsque le Coca Cola Zéro est sorti, en Australie on disait Bloke Coke car c'est plutôt destiné aux mecs.
De temps en temps en trouve des drôles de wc comme ici mais j'aime beaucoup. Ce qui c'est drôle c'est le panneau pour traduire aux non-australiens ce que c'est. Ton cadrage serré fonctionne très bien et la nettété est excellente.

Ahha! My sister has just emigrated to Perth from the UK so she knows what a bloke is! And Sheila, well, we have had the Fosters beer adverts for several years so we know about those beautiful tanned ladies you have their in Oz :) It's funny that the sign is situated closer to the 'Blokes' side, than to that of the 'Sheilas'. Considering the difference in Our anatomy I guess finding a spot to take a pee is a lot easier. I guess there is a subliminal message here: Men - stop adding fertiliser to the roadside!

Besides teaching oz words, this is graphically strong picture. Very carefully framed. Wall texture looks special. And it's good that toilets sign is off-centre.
