Stairway to a lonely seagull, a photo from Western Australia, West

Photographer's Note

If you look carefully you will spot a solitary seagull on the beach. Taken at Rottnest Island west of Perth W.A. I liked the inverted 'c' shaped curve of the beach here & the color of the sea. The buildings are holiday homes & cottages for vacationers from Perth. I was lucky with the weather as it was raining the next day. I have dodged the shadows at right & burned in the slightly oe highlights. Hope you like it.

Hello Chris - Good PP work had resulted in a well balanced exposure range and you've managed to retain good colour in the shadows you dodged. What a lovely spot for a beach home, it looks so peaceful and not overdeveloped. Your leading line invited us to walk down the steps and onto the beach ... perhaps the gull won't be so lonely then! Bel endroit tranquille Chris,
et cette fois les couleurs semblent bien plus naturelles.
J'aime cette vue depuis la haut qui nous invite à nous rendre sur cette plage tranquille. Un endroit de villégiature agréable, il faut voir avec les caprices de la météo.

Indeed I see the seagull on the beach, this as only visitor, almost in credible.
I like your nice nature picture of the sea and beach.

The curve of the beach is an asset to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the tropical scenery. The quality of the light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

A well studied pov with the stairs making for an excellent starting point as its leads directly to the lovely & quiet beach. Its circular shape is for sure drawing the attention! Good colour rendition as well!

I like this circular view showing lots of elements. The colors and sharpness are superb. I see the seagull near that rock.Those holiday cottages attract the attention. A well balanced composition with perfect exposure.

Morning Chris, The inverted C of the beach together with the tones and colours give a lovely depth to the image.. Your title gets one looking deep into the image.. and makes one think- Will the seagull ever need the stairs? well who knows.. Have a great day Rich

Not specially wide beach here, sand looks deserted, mybe it is low seaso n. Haha, I see this lonely sea gull. Very nice quiet view.
