Photographer’s Note
Boats, bathing beaches and barbecues: so much a part of lfe in Western Australia! This was shot at Hillarys Marina/Sorrento Quay last Autumn - and now our new summer is less than 24 hours away: time to prepare the boat, get out the board-shorts, and blow the dust off the barbecue tongs! Bring it on!!!

I like this very Australian view. The combination sea, boats, barbecues, blue skies and outdoors is a great way of life and I love it. The only question I always have is why the councils do not erect a shade around the barbecues?!!!
Your picture is fantastic and conveys a good tourist promotion. Well done.

G'day mate,
C'mon china, chuck another prawn on the barbie and crack uz a tinnie willya.
You know I find it weird that on a site that's supposed to be all about learning about the world through photography, only one person so far has commented on this shot. You have captured here the Australian way of life perfectly, yet all the ou's and ahh's usually go for some over-posted unrealistic shot of a tree standing in the middle of a paddock, I can't work it out.
Anyway enough of that, very nice shot mate, sharp as and great composition, this is what it is all about.
Avagoodweekend,
Pete

Hi Jeff
I'm heading over to the West for xmas, looking forward to taking some great shots as this is. Fantastic sky to complement what looks to be a very lovely day, great vibrant colours the only thing missing are the snags on the barbie.
Cheers
Jude
