Photographer’s Note
The Federation Walkway is a popular attraction in Perth's Kings Park.
Opened on 17 August 2003, the walkway reaches a maximum height of 16m at the apex of the uniquely designed glass and steel arched bridge which appears suspended amidst the canopy of tall eucalypts, including Karri, Marri, Tingle and Jarrah trees.
Key design elements include the rusted iron structure, chosen in keeping with the federation theme and to blend into the local environment and the glass panels. There are 52 of these each side, each weighing 120kg.
I have manipulated the image a little with curves and contrast adjustments to emphasise the line of the reflections on the glass panels.
This image is my 50th upload to TE.
