Photographer’s Note
We like to save bits of our past to remind us of the beautiful things of days gone by.
In this case the portico of the former state government printing office has been retained while a multi-story tower housing the law courts has been constructed behind it.
The portico stands alone, it is not structurally connected to the building, nor more significantly does it form a working part of the building's entrance.
It seems a little out of place and a bit pointless really.
