Photographer’s Note

Fonty's Pool located near the town of Manjimup (three hours drive south of Perth) was built by Archimedes Fontanini with little mechanical assistance around 1910. In 1925 the pool, then nearly an acre in size, was opened to the public and has become a focal point for the local community. For links to more info regarding the pool and its history, please contact me.

This photo was taken early on a recent summer morning. The Clarity control has been wound back to enhance the morning mist.
