Another shot of the Murchison River near Kalbarri on the west coast of Australia. The rest of my tour group went kayaking downstream but I elected to take some photographs instead, after a short paddle.

Bonjour Chris,

J'aime beaucoup le point de vue sur la rivière. Le regard passe entre l'arbre et le roc pour un bel effet entonnoir qui apporte de la profondeur. La gestion de la lumière est parfaite.

Hello Chris,
I like the point of view looking down the river and the stark contrast between the vivid red of the river bank and the cool blue tones of sky and river. The tree, though slightly awkwardly placed helps give the image depth. Very good technical realisation.

The colours are well saturated and very beautiful with the reddish rock, blue sky and range of gorgeous tones in the water. A very well chosen composition using the tree in the FG very well. Very sharp and expertly exposed.

Hello Chris,

The colours are very beautifully saturated, bringing out the layered, textural details of the rocks. The leaning tree has strong f/g impact, helping to link together the two, quite diverse, areas of the photograph.

Hi Chris,

The wideness of the river is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the cliffs and of the river. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Outstanding composition, superb colors. I have read about one Mr. Murchison from Scotland. once he discovered the Perm period in Geology. Is he the same man?
Anyway, this is attractive eye-catching composition. Well done!

Really beautiful shot. Orange rocks and blue sky and river make strong colour contrast. And the shade of that tree goes well with intense sunshine. Rough sedimental rocks look interesting.

I remember this place from your earlier posts...amazing rock formations & the strata bared by the erosion. The tree counter balances well. Fine colour of the water in the BG. Lovely place & fine picture!
