We visited Nambung NP late on an afternoon when storms were threatening. Most of the time it was overcast but when we reached this spot where Nambung's famous pinnacles have a red band the sun came out for a while making the sand glow against the black of the threatening sky. Magical!

Hello Ian - A strong image here with the dark sky and late afternoon light adding a brooding drama to the scene. A superb location; harsh and wild, I like it a lot. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello IAn ,
FAntastic rocky formations . Amazing colors and contrast with the dark stormy sky .

I guess it's not mere coincidence if you chose this particular rock formation. Its evocative shape and the way it rises straight up from an expanse of otherwise featureless rocks, inspired you for sure. The contrast with the dark sky and the general tones is superb. Well done.

Ahh this is stunning, the Pinnacles are on my hitlist for sure and with excellent quality photos like this, you've really motivated me. What great timing to get the stormy sky, but also great skills to get the best out of that eerie light. Thanks for sharing, have a fantastic weekend.

La lumière sur ce paysage est exceptionnelle.
Les contrastes sont superbes entre le ciel sombre et le sable.

this brins me back to good memories in 1986 when I stayed here for a few months ;=],a unique landscape with mysteries, tha grey sky is good contrasting.

This photo stands out, with the finger-like pinnacle pointing to the sky, the surreal landscape behind it, and those ominous grey clouds in the background. Great colour and depth of field.

I love the contrasting colours here between the sky and the sand. You've captured the feel of an impending, but yet to arrive, storm very well.
