Near Balladonia on the Nullarbor Plain, Newman Rock rises from the plain on the side of a hill. Seeing clear blue water in such an arid location is strange. But there had been recent rain. Being shallow and on top of a rock area means that the water would soon evaporate.
Towards the rear right you can see the remains of a structure - a sign that people have tried to farm the area. They also tried raising the edge of this water hole to give them a water supply.
