[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On the extreme south-western tip of Australia lies one of the world's great capes - that of Cape Leeuwin, Western Australia. Here, two of the world's oceans meet: the Indian and Southern Oceans. The lighthouse has an intensity of 1 million candles, stands 56 metres above sea level, with a range of 26 nautical miles. This shot was taken on a benign Good Friday 2008, looking southwest towards Antarctica. I will make the 4-hour drive from Perth to this spot during a fierce winter storm sometime, to take a very different view by way of contrast.

Hi Jeff,
Very nice composed in vertical format. The foreground looks interesting and leads our eye to the lighthouse in the background. The sky brings great contrast in the image from the warmer colours of the land, just as those clouds, they look wonderful. Very nice shot, i like it.
Regardsm Henk

Hi,Jeff,

Great choice of the vertical format for this lonely lighthouse. I love the sea on the rocks and the beautiful colours. Very well seen and executed.

Jeff,
Great composition using the vertical format to show depth and detail. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The shadowed rocks in the foreground creates nice contrast to the brightly lit scene. This is a great lighthouse photo!
