Photographer’s Note
Today I went for a drive with a couple of my friends to Victor Harbor. Granite Island is in the distance.
Granite Island is a small island next to Victor Harbor, South Australia, not far from South Australia's Capital city, Adelaide. It is unpopulated; however there are buildings on the island. It is a popular tourist attraction, particularly for people wishing to see Little Penguins (commonly called "Fairy Penguin") which breed and live on the island.
The island is accessible across a bridge from the mainland, either on foot or by catching the antique horse drawn tram.

I took this photo from under the bridge. I cropped the photo a little to straighten it and adjusted the contrast and brightness after sharpening.

Interesting shot Debbie. I'll definitely put this on my itinerary for a visit in a couple of years.
Maybe the image has lost a little sharpness when curring to 800 pixels?
Best wishes

Good idea, to shoot under the bridge, getting a tunnel like effect from the supports. The repeated shape of the posts is interesting, and it guides us down the way into the scene. The lighting is not that great, but a good shot nonetheless.

Hi Debbie,
Nice perspective shot of the bridge. It might be better to shot this when there are shadows of these bridge post and golden colors. TFS!

Hi Deb,
Nice shot of the jetty, like the POV. I agree with Dia1943 that it could have been sharper though, and the lighting looks a bit blown out. I would have played with the contrast a bit more, but that's only a matter of taste. Apart from that though I really like the reflections in the water and the repeating poles lead the eye into the photo nicely! A sunset shot could be interesting too?? TFS :-)
Cheers Tina

Hi Debbie...
It's a intersting but beautiful point of view and perfect perspective... The pastel tones, the texture of the wooden quay and the light are also beautiful...
TFS...
Stay well..
Salim.

Hi Debbie,
It is the bridge which is in charge of remembering for you, that looks to it some more of value. Good work of composition and color, it is simple but beautiful.

Bonjour Debbie,
C'est une très belle perspective sur laquelle on peut lire l'oeuvre du temps grace à ta maitrise de la lumière (et des couleurs).
A bientôt sur TE pour de nouvelles aventures.

Greetings Debbie.
I really like the perspective here. Nice idea to go under the bridge for your shot. The texture of the sand and water is excellent and I really enjoy the stains going up along the pilings...good contrast against the aged wood.
Regards,
Chris.

Bonjour Debbie,
very interesting shot Debbie! I bet you spent a while at this place trying to exploit the concept to the max! Did you try this one in B/W, I definitely would try. You found some reflections but the light does not seem so good. If you had waited at the end of the day to have long shadows and warmer and softer colors, this would have been too nice!!
Good job!

Hi DEbiie, it was a very original shot and excellent idea to take this bridge from under. You got an intersting perspective going very far ... Light managing was difficult but you did pretty well
Congratulations

Hello Debbie! Very nice composition here, the receding pylons of the bridge really draw the eye into frame well. I like this type of subject too, I often experiment with similiar compositions under beach piers where I live.
The colors and details are well captured. Well done!
Regards,
Doug

Une photo, Debbie, très agréable à voir avec cet effet de perspective et le rendu des textures du bois et du sable mouillé. Excellent !
